Homeopathy is a Holistic Form of Medicine

Homeopathy is become increasingly popular, although, many still misunderstand what homeopathy is or how it works. Homeopathy is a flexible system of medicine that can be used by lay people and medical professions alike.

Credit for the discovery of homeopathy is given to Samuel Hahnemann, a German physician who founded and elaborated on a therapeutic science based on curing with similars. The Law of Similars (or "like cures like") is a principle states that a disease can be cured by a substance that produces similar symptoms in healthy people.

Homeopathy is a form of holistic medicine that treats the individual with a unique, safe, effective, and non-toxic method of therapy. Primarily, homeopathy uses small doses of natural substances derived from plant, mineral, and animal sources.

Minor ailments can be successfully treated in the home using homeopathy. More serious complaints may require a medical professional. A minor cold can be treated at home, but you should take other precautions if it appears to develop into a secondary infection.

Homeopathy is a holistic form of medicine, involving the emotional and physical traits of the individual person. It differs from allopathic medicine wherein treatment may be the same for everyone. For example, an allopathic doctor may give two people with stomach flu the exact same medicine. But, in homeopathy the remedy would be chosen to match the exact symptoms, therefore, each individual may receive a slightly different remedy.

Homeopathy can be very effective in helping a wide range of problems. It is commonly used for the treatment of acute illnesses such as ear infections, coughs, fevers and the flu. It can also be helpful in treating chronic illnesses such as headaches, allergies, arthritis, and digestive problems. Psychological problems like anxiety, depression, attention problems, and phobias can also be treated with homeopathy

Prescribing a homeopathic remedy for a given person is a highly individualized process where the practitioner must determine the exact cause of the problem. For example, a person with allergies that flare up on rainy day may be given a totally different homeopathic remedy than a person with allergies that are only affected by a freshly mown lawn or a change of seasons. Therefore, it is important to know the general cause to enable one to make a proper diagnosis.

Homeopathic remedies are exceptionally safe and side effects are rare. Some of the most noted remedies are for chronic fatigue, asthma, warts, with bronchitis, bladder infections, fibromyalgia, eczema, herpes, vertigo, and ADHD to name a few.

The ingredients are all natural ingredients that are diluted greatly during the succession process. In the mixtures of homeopathic cures, the ingredients are diluted to about 100 to one, therefore, side effects from them are virtually non-existent. By consuming the diluted mixer of ingredients and water, the healing properties are available without actually ingesting the ingredients.

Homeopathy can benefit people of all ages and treat the full range of human disease conditions. Homeopathy can also be beneficial to your pets and even your garden.
