Homeschooling has been increasingly opted by many as the method of education for their children. Many advantages come with homeschooling, and this is probably the reason why many have opted for this. Homeschool resources are not a problem, since they can be found anywhere.
The benefits that homeschooling offers and probably that more people greatly enjoy are the one-on-one tutorial that happens and the flexibility it allows. With one-on-one sessions, the children can be greatly supervised and taught, as opposed to the conventional ration of teacher to students that can run from 1 to 30 or 35. This way, whatever that the child has already mastered does not need to be spent more time on. The extra time for the day can then be spent on other subjects that the child still has problems with or for new lessons that they can take in advance.
As for socialization, homeschooled children are active in community activities which allow them to interact with a lot of people of different age groups and different races. They also spend time in the libraries, groceries and other public areas where they get to interact with a lot of people and at the same time be exposed to the world on a daily basis. Compared to kids who go to actual schools, these homeschooled children are more exposed to the 'real world'. They are not confined to the four corners of the classroom with only their teacher as the adult and everyone else is the same age as theirs. Homeschooled children also don't have to go through a lot of peer pressure and bullying like most kids who go to school go through.
Homeschool resources are available widely. Education takes in different shapes and sizes, and anything can be used as a resource. The public library is one place where the family can greatly get a lot of resources. The internet also has a lot of online resources and most of them even for free. Anything can be made as a learning resource because with homeschooling, the possibilities are endless. Kids learn about practical things like cooking, cleaning the house and washing the dishes. They can learn from the trees and grass outside. they can learn from anything and there is no classroom to confine them.
