Homeschoolers: Where to Learn Spanish Online for Free

Jasmine Starr
If you are a homeschool parent looking to teach your kids Spanish, I have found a few sites for you. I know that some homeschool parents are on a budget. Going out and buying Spanish software can be pretty expensive. So why not just learn it online? All you need to learn Spanish online is a set of speakers and sound on your computer. All these sites that I am going to list are completely free.

This was my first year homeschooling so we didn't get into Spanish. But I am already getting my lessons together for Spanish next school year. These Spanish Lessons really break it down for you. Some of the sites also have games on them for your little ones to play. A lot of children seem to catch on faster if something is put in the form of a game. My youngest son is a hands on learning person. So these games on some of these sites will come in great for him. I will list each site and give a few details about it.

Spanish Unlimited - http://www.spanishunlimited.com/

Spanish Unlimited offers free Spanish lessons. You can register and become a member for free. This site has many different things like Spanish Jokes, Spanish Games, Popular Sayings, Your Horoscope in Spanish, and more. This is a really nice site for learning Spanish. As a homeschool mom looking for a great site to teach my kids Spanish, this site is at the top of my list. This site also offers quizzes so that you can test what you have learned.

Learn Spanish - http://www.spanishprograms.com

This site offers free lessons too. The free lessons are great. But they also offer a Homeschool course which is $134 plus shipping and handling. This site would be great to use for the free lessons. This site teaches you sentence building and numbers. Overall this site is great for the free lessons. I don't think I would buy the course when there are so many great free sites out there.

Web Spanish Lessons - http://www.june29.com/Spanish/

This site is pretty simple and to the point. In lesson one it shows the common words used in Spanish and the translation in English. You can click on the word and hear the pronunciation of the word. Lesson two goes a little deeper than the first lesson. You will learn the colors, numbers, adjectives, verbs, and more. You can download the audio file to hear the pronunciation. Lesson three goes even deeper. At the end of each lesson you will have test that you can take. I really enjoyed what I saw on this site. I think I will be using this site for my lessons too.

These are the three best sites that I found. You can't go wrong with these three sites. If you are looking to teach your kids Spanish and are working on a budget, these sites would be great for you. These sites make it easy on the homeschool parents and children.
