Bleeding almost always occurs after an injury and there are various forms of bleeding. Arterial bleeding is bright red and gushes and this should always be treated as an emergency and medical advice should be sought immediately. Venous bleeding is much darker in color and is more passive, there fore it is not considered as an emergency but not being able to stop this bleeding would warrant the seeking of medical help. Capillary bleeding tends to ooze continuously and can easily be stopped.

There are some instances were bleeding can lead to loss of life needless to say these are considered dangerous. Some of these instances give a person more time to respond than others examples of these are when bloody diarrhea persists or the coughing up of bright red blood, some examples of bleeding that warrants an immediate emergency status will be when vaginal bleeding occurs during a pregnancy or if blood spurts from a wound continuously, spurting blood means an artery has been severed or cut and this bleeding will not stop on its own go to the hospital as fast as possible, if this wound occurred on the arm or hand applying a lot of pressure to the bone in the armpit might slow the bleeding, or if this wound occurred on the foot or leg, applying firm pressure to the bone of the groin will slow the bleeding, THIS BLEEDING WILL NOT STOP, SEEK MEDICAL TREATMENT.

In the case of a nose bleed Belladonna can be used it is usually very effective, when a small wound wont stop oozing dabbing pure calendula tincture on dry cotton wool and applying to the wound with pressure would stop the bleeding. When a small oozing wound pains excessively out of proportion to the wound a 30ch potency of calendula given every 15 min will help the pain.

When a person is pale and anemic, with a rapid and weak pulse the use of ferrum phos is advised this will ease the patients discomfort and increase blood flow, there fore increasing the pulse to a steady clear pulse, and with continuous dosages the anemia will decrease and color will return to the patient.

Please note that no amount of bleeding should be treated without the necessary precautions, as blood is the carrier of viruses and can be passed from person to person by contact, entering the body thru small cuts and holes that are not always obvious by looking at your hands.
