I drive a red Honda Fit and it is one of the most responsive cars I've driven. The first time I put down the pedal, the car was off. Acceleration was extremely high and the weight of gravity on my foot was almost too much weight. At times, I had to resist gravity in order to not speed. This is a huge advantage if you drive in the city and have to get around quickly. Red lights and stop signs will slow you down only to a minimum as you can quickly get out of them and quite possibly, break through the next set of lights (which I have done quite a bit). This means you'll be saving a lot of time overall.
The size is also an advantage if you're not looking for something with power. It's small so you can squeeze through tight spots or park almost anywhere. The trunk is also quite large in comparison to its size. You'll be able to fit just about anything in the bank; it has a lot more vertical space, an advantage over those with a hood. Another thing is that you can reach all the contents without ever having to get out of the car which could prove useful in an emergency situation.
Due to its size, however, you won't be able to drag a lot of stuff; I don't tow anything so this isn't a disadvantage at all. At times, you may feel weak being in something small when a huge truck pulls next to you (although that may just be personal paranoia). Regardless of this, if you're not looking for power, I would highly recommend this car, especially if you're looking for one that can get you around a lot without much trouble.
Some technical stuff I do know about this car is its great gas mileage. It gets a lot more than 30 miles to the gallon (city) if you find roads without much stops. Driving around traffic is often useful, despite being a longer drive, you'll spend less time waiting. You'll have plenty of opportunities to try them out because this car doesn't need to be refilled every other day. If you use it minimally, then you probably won't need to refill until the 2nd or 3rd week of driving! Even if you drive quite a bit, you'll easily surpass the one week mark and probably half way into two!
The Honda Fit is highly recommended for anyone who wants to get things done without need for much power. The casual driver who doesn't need to tow a million things but does need to get around quickly would find this car a perfect "fit".
