HONEY I'M COLD

Kathryn Neff Perry
My hubby sits in the living room, perched in "his chair". This morning, while I was working away in the office, I heard his little voice say, "I'm really getting thirsty." Translation: Will you please walk in here, take my coffee mug to the kitchen and refill it with coffee.
The other comments I hear from him are, "honey, I think it's cold in here." Translation, will you come in here and cover me with a blanket.
He said the other day, "you know, I'm thinking about starting my own blog. I'm going to write about the things you say."
I smiled at him, "Sweetheart, no one would believe you."
For instance, last week I was finally resting myself. Sitting in a recliner, legs up, watching Home and Garden TV. I looked over at him and said, "would you like to have something to drink?" He shook his head, yes, "that would be wonderful." I said, "While you're out there get me some iced tea."
