One day, as I was enjoying the honeysuckle growing in my yard, I witnessed a busy little hummingbird enjoying it, too. The scene inspired this series of 3 haiku.

Pink honeysuckle
Sun scorched fence post, her arbor
Trickles sweet nectar
Intoxicating
Charm, fragrant beauty allures
Suitors from the air
Candy sacrifice
Sipped, beak straws down petal bells
Silenced at sunset
