Hood River, Oregon: Home of Gypsy Treasures Thrift Shop

My husband and I are planning on moving in the next weekend and we are on a tight budget. We need to stock our home and be able to do this with high quality items that will not break or rip in a day. We decided to shop around at some of the local stores and then I also decided to google thrift stores in Hood River, Oregon and found this Gypsy Treasures Thrift Store.

I immediately gave them a call to find out their location because I am not that familiar with Hood River. If you are in the area or The Dalles or other surrounding areas you can find them on Tucker Road. The lady who answered was very helpful and wanted to know what I was looking for. She informed me of their hours and I assured her we would come up on the weekend to look around.

We were able to find them okay, As you are traveling Tucker Road look on the right and you will see their sign as well as balloons. One thing you will see is that their shop may not be that big but they make do with their allotted space without over crowding.

Everything in this shop is well displayed. From hanging on the wall or on book shelves or tables. The thrift store also is the neatest thrift store I've ever been in. You will be able to see that this is a business that this couple takes pride in.

After walking through the rooms and grabbing up a few items I was quickly drawn to the owners. They are very customer service oriented and made sure they made eye contact with each customer and greeted each customer as they came through the door.

The female owner would announce their sales as each person walked through the doors. I noticed they carry a large selection of baby items and clothing as well as ladies apparel and mans wear. If your looking for a scarf or hat or maybe a jacket come on by.

Gypsy Treasures offers a variety of everything and as you may all know, with thrift stores items change daily. So the best way to shop is to shop frequently and call ahead if there is something in particular you are looking for so the owners can keep their eyes opened for it and give you a call.

The Gypsy Treasure Thrift store has books, magazines, jewelry and handbags. They also have household items and glasses and antiques. from movies to toys and other collectibles you are sure to find something here to call your own.

After speaking with the owners I discovered they have not been opened for business but a little over two months. You would never guess that by the friendliness they reflect and the upbeat positive attitude. If you want to shop for discounts and feel like your visiting with family then stop by Gypsy Treasures Thrift Store.

Their office hours are Wednesday through Sunday closed on Monday and Tuesday. From Wednesday through Saturday their opened 10 am till 6pm. And on Sundays the hours are 10 am till 4 pm.
