Hoodia: Is it Good for You?

Greg Smith
With all of the hype and competition in the diet industry, it's hard to find a diet pill that actually does what it claims. One of the top diet pills on the market today that REALLY does help in the fight against weight loss is the Hoodia diet pills.

Hoodia diet pills work extremely well if you perform regular exercise and have an efficient diet. They are known to boost results for individuals who want to drop a few pounds naturally and in a safe manner. Side effects may vary, depending on the individual, but for the most part you won't have to deal with the tons of health related issues other so-called "diet pills" leave you with.

Hoodia is a succulent plant (cactus) native to the South Western region of Africa. It is made up of all natural ingredients. Some of those ingredients include stearic acid, hoodia gordonii powder, magnesium stearate and cross carmellose sodium. The effectiveness of Hoodia can be attributed to the process of suppressing your appetite and hunger. The pills make your stomach feel like it's full of food. So when you eat smaller servings of healther foods, with a lower calorie count and you exercise on a regular basis, your almost ensured to see some weightloss.

The one key that makes hoodia so effective is the fact that it's free from stimulants. That means it affects your metabolic rate (the rate at which you burn energy) while keeping you free from stimulants that can wreak havoc on your body. They also do not make you have what they call a "drop". A drop is when you take an unnatural stimulant and when the effects wear off you feel sluggish. Again, the all natural make up of the Hoodia pills gives a superior advantage over other artificial diet pills.

Hoodia has been shown to start suppressing the appetite within 20 to 30 minutes. Most studies show that Hoodia usually begins to work in the human body anywhere from 5 to 10 days after initially being taken. Most immediate affects include a general feeling of well being, smaller interest in food and feeling full more quickly.

Hoodia pills are now main stream and can be found in local health food stores along with multiple grocery store food chains in their health and/or medicine section. There is one thing you have to pay attention to when buying Hoodia or any other natural product. Make sure you pay attention to the ingredients label. Some products are labeled as natural but actually include artificial stimulants.

Hoodia is a great accessory to help you in your weight loss venture.
