Hope it Gives You Hell

Poem Inspired by the Song Title Above

Casey
When you see my face I hope yours hangs in embarrassment

You thought you could break me! Ha Never will anyone break my spirit

I've come to far to not be able to hold my head high

The fact that every day you step out your house alive is a miracle

And you can thank me for that, that you don't get jumped by people

Another thing you can thank me for is the lift kit in your truck and the car

You fixed with my graduation money, my credit that enabled your home

The gas you put in my truck while you drove and I paid

I hope that you think twice when you think to look me in eyes

Because you will see a beaten down body but a spirit that nearly blinds you

A soul that shines through the desolation of ones mind, body and life

You think you have it good with your paid off house, your brand new truck

And you spiffy little life living off disability, well I'd like to remind you who

Provided those things for you, the back you stepped on to better yourself

The head you bashed into windows in anger, the hands you mashed in public

Because you couldn't do the things you did to me at home in front of people

You may be set, I may be in the hole with no vehicle no home, and no money

But at least I have true unleashed life with a love better than anyone could imagine

Who came out better, only time will tell...
