Hope Unbroken
Sometimes we are stretched thin.
Fragile and frayed at the edges,
like something used one too many times,
like something always one breath away from breaking
into a thousand shattered pieces.
Sometimes we are stretched thin.
Fragile and frayed at the edges,
like something used one too many times,
like something always one breath away from breaking
into a thousand shattered pieces.
But morning sun always pierces dark sky
and the sighs of weary, worn hearts subside,
unable to resist the possibilities
of a new day's birth.
