Aiming to do great things
I jumped too far
Skipped the box
Sliding down on the chalk colored sidewalk
Skinning my knees on
Number Seven
Lucky number finds me crying
Wiping away the dusty blood
Some skip right by me
And others keep up
With Double Dutch
Keeping the paces
So as not to tangle
Not to fall
It seems I've been left alone
On my own to comfort
My painful misstep
And shut my ears
To the girlish laughter
Shrug my shoulders.
Give a chuckle
Die a little inside and
Jump back up on number Seven
