Horman Says Ex Wife Terri Caused "Unimaginable Harm" to Kyron

Kaine Refused Terri's Request to See Their Daughter

Kaine Horman says his wife, Terri Horman, caused "unimaginable harm" to his son, Kyron, then age 7. Kyron Horman went missing from his Portland, Oregon elementary school on June 4, 2010, just days before school would be out for the summer.

Terri Horman was the last person to see her stepson. She claims that she left him in the hallway of his school after attending a science fair with him. Kyron never made it to his class room which Terri claimed was just yards away from where she left him.

Since the initial disappearance, Kaine Horman has told the public that police revealed to him inconsistencies in Terri's story, the fact that she tried to hire a landscaper to kill Kaine and the fact that she was sexting one of Kaine's friends from high school in the days after Kyron went missing.

Kaine went to court to get a restraining order against Terri in July to keep her away from himself and their 1 year old daughter. Terri hired a high priced criminal defense attorney, Stephen Houze, and tried her best to avoid family court, the divorce and the restraining order.

Almost four months later, Terri Horman's attorney, Peter Bunch filed a motion to have the restraining order changed so that Terri would be able to see her daughter, Kiara Horman. Kaine Horman, Desiree Young (Kyron's mom) and his team of lawyers immediately fired back that it would be dangerous to allow Terri access to an almost two year old girl.

Kaine Horman is also requesting that Terri Horman undergo a mental health evaluation and that records of Terri's criminal, mental health and medical history are needed before deciding whether or not she should see her 23 month old daughter. Kaine believes that Terri is severely emotionally disturbed. One would have to be to order a hit on their husband and then kidnap and cause harm to an innocent little boy.

Maybe Kaine finally realizes that he can use the family court to pressure more information out of Terri Horman.

Terri's behavior has been unconscionable. She has failed a lie detector test, walked out on a second polygraph, refused to talk and help find Kyron, lied to the police, tried to hire a hitman to kill her husband and asked friends to buy her untraceable cell phones. It is easy to see why Kaine would be uncomfortable allowing his daughter to see Terri.

Kaine Horman and Desiree Young have said all along that they want the investigation and media to keep focused on Kyron, but may be the best thing for the cold case is to focus on Terri Horman. If pressure is place on Terri, she may end up talking or making a mistake that leads investigators and police to the truth.

Desiree Young has said recently that she would like to see the reward for finding Kyron to be increased to $350,000 because she believes that money talks. Unfortunately, the only person that knows where Kyron is, is Terri Horman and she would be not be eligible for the reward since she is the one who abducted him.

Sexting with Michael Cook

Kaine's motion filed with the court outlined the sexting Terri did with his high school friend, Michael Cook. Terri sent him photos of her breasts and even one of her masterbating. She also told Michael Cook that she paid $350,000 for her "attorney extraordinaire," Stephen Houze. Kaine is demanding to know where the money came from to pay for the attorney. She mentioned to Cook that she had a "clean phone" to avoid law enforcement monitoring her calls.

Terri's Bad Parenting and Alcohol Abuse

Kaine states that Terri has a history of depression and alcoholism, not to mention her addiction to the internet. He claims that she spent more time on the internet than parenting her children. He stated that Terri would be drunk most nights with a noticeable slur and difficulty walking. He would sometimes find her passed out on the couch with the children up late playing by themselves. Terri had a DUI conviction along with a child endangerment conviction because her son, James was in the car during her DUI arrest.

Kaine is convinced that Terri abducted Kyron and then harmed him or secreted him. He is worried that his 1 year old daughter, Kiara may have witnessed the "unimaginable harm" done to Kyron on June 4, 2010.

This story just makes me so sad. I just hope that Kyron is found so this family can have some peace. I could not even begin to know what I would do if this happened to my little boy, but I do know one thing I would not be able to rest. My prayers are with the family. God bless.
