Hormel Chili Masters

I enjoy a bowl of chili on a cold day but I often do not have the time to prepare homemade chili for my family. While at my local Kroger grocery store I purchased two jars of Hormel Chili Master chili with beans. In this review I will share my experience with both of these Chili's in an effort to help other shoppers find the perfect chili for their family without sacrificing a great taste for convenience.

Hormel Chili Master series White Chicken Chili with beans and white meat is absolutely fantastic! Each jar contains 20 fluid ounces of chili. The consistency is perfect, the meat is generous sized chunks of white meat chicken, there are not too many white beans, and the spices are perfect and not too hot. I did not expect to love White Chicken Chili, but this is a unique and flavorful combination that is sure to please all of the skeptics! If you decide to purchase this fantastic jar of chili I would encourage you to purchase several jars, as your family will certainly ask for seconds! This is not only a delicious food that requires very little effort to prepare, but it is also affordable. I paid a little under $3 per jar of Hormel Chili Master series White Chicken Chili with white meat and beans.

I also purchased Hormel Chili Master style Chipotle Chili. Again, you get a 20 fluid ounce jar of chili with beans and a spicy southwestern flavor. This chili has beef, tomatoes and veggies like corn inside. It is not too hot and spicy, but it does have a slight kick to it. My family also liked this version of Hormel Jar Chili but we found it to be too watery. It is not as thick as we prefer our chili o be and also it made saltine crackers soggy almost immediately. I liked the flavor, but I was not as thrilled with the thin consistency. I paid around $2.25 per jar of Hormel Chili Masters style Chipotle chili with beans.

I think that most people will enjoy either of these varieties of Hormel Chili. I would recommend the White Chicken chili to anyone and I would also be likely to recommend the Chipotle Chili. I will definitely purchase Hormel White Chicken Chili again. This is absolutely a fantastic product that is easy to prepare and also of an impressive quality.

I have just finished a bowl of Hormel Chili Master White Chicken and am pleased but not satisfied. The chicken chunks were good sized and the spicing is very good with a slight heat. However, as a chili, it is a little thin and too salty. The salt masks some of the flavors. On a five star system I'd give it 3.5 If the salt was lower I'd score it a 4.0
