Horrifying Halloween Hors D'oeuvres

Shock your party guests with a disgusting array of edible body parts and bodily fluid. Instead of hosting a Halloween party with boring appetizers, offer some fun on the table with these horrifying trick or treats.

Bloody Fingers

Freak out your friends with bloody fingers. Slice hot dogs into five "fingers" leaving the bottom inch of the hot dog intact. Dip the ends of the fingers into ketchup and lay on a plate with the fingers spread wide open.

Eerie Eyeballs

Let your guests know you are watching them throughout the party with delectable eyeballs. Use a vegetable peeler to peel away the majority of the skin of a red radish. Leave a small amount of the red skin to look like bloodshot eyes. Hollow out the center of the radish and fill the center with a green olive, leaving the pimento sticking out in the center.

Snot Soup

Serve your friends a batch of slimy, but delicious snot as a first course. Pour a bag of thawed, frozen peas into a blender with 2 cups of warm water and blend on high speed until the peas are smooth. Pour the liquid into a large pot. Add one small can of chicken broth and cook on medium high temperature until the soup is boiling. Turn the heat down to medium low and add 8 ounces of shredded mozzarella cheese. Cook the soup for 25 to 30 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

Sticky Boogers

Disgust the youngest guests at your party with sticky boogers that are actually edible. Place a package of cream cheese along with about 8 ounces of shredded cheddar cheese and a few drops of food coloring into a food processor. Mix the cheeses and food coloring until they form a large ball. Use a spoon to scoop a small amount of the "boogers" on the end of pretzel rods.

Velveeta Vertebrae

Stack up a spine of delicious quesadillas to gross out your hungry guests. Follow the instructions on the Velveeta package to melt the cheese. Lay tortillas flat on a hard surface and spread with salsa. Drizzle the melted cheese over the salsa and roll the tortilla like a taco. Place the taco in the refrigerator and allow the cheese to harden for at least one hour. Remove the taco from the refrigerator and slice into chunks about 2 inches thick. Stack the slices on top of each other to look like vertebrae.
