Horror Doc' Under the Scares Shows at Tribeca May 29th

Under the Scares is a horror documentary that went to several cities e.g. Chicago, Cleveland, Hollywood in order to capture the independent filmmaking experience and now the film will premiere in New York at the Tribeca Cinemas. The event begins at 7:30pm on Saturday, May 29th and for those in the business of making horror films this doc' will be an eye-opener that also shows some of the pitfalls of independent filmmaking. A synopsis for the event is below along with more details on the premiere.

"This documentary aims at understanding the process involved in the making of an independent horror film and this odd industry. Many aspects are discussed by the numerous horror personalities interviewed: new video technologies and the impact it has on the marketplace; how inexperience often results in a loss of 90% of the funds invested and the need for discovering a good story" (Under).

Release Date: May 21st (Limited Run).

Director/writer: Steve Villeneuve.

Interviews with: Robert Kurtzman, Herschell Gordon Lewis, Lloyd Kaufman, Tony Timpone, Debbie Rochon, Gary Jones, and Rodrigo Gudino.
