Tuesday night Goth rockers Aiden brought their Horror Nights tour to Detroit at the Shelter.
The cold weather, the rain and the fact that it was a weekday made for a small crowd but by the time Aiden took to the stage the ones who were there were more than ready to rock.
The show was opened by New York's Dr. Acula, who were the evenings only metal group and was a nice change of pace from the rest of the lineup.
Get Scared went on second which was unfortunate because their strong, energetic performance would have been better suited for later in the evening.
The band is getting ready to release their first album Best Kind of Mess in July and they played some new songs as well as material off of their two EPs.
Songs "Whore" and "Voodoo" were the highlights of their set.
Vampires Everywhere! were up next and they were promoting yesterday's release of their new album Kiss The Sun Goodbye.
Arizona rock band Eyes Set To Kill were the final openers and were the first band to really get the crowd going and created the evening's first mosh pit.
Their brand of metalcore and the interplay between vocalists Alexia Rodriguez and Cisko Miranda made for a enjoyable set that included powerful song "The Listening".
Headliners Aiden took to the stage in a cloud of smoke and immediately kicked into a set filled with some of their hardest songs including some material off of their latest album Disguises.
The small crowd hugged the stage with their cameras and moshed, sang, danced and crowd surfed throughout the set.
Vocalist Wil Francis spent quite a bit of time out on the floor with the crowd and talked to them throughout the set.
Popular songs "Die Romantic", "We Sleep Forever" and "Scavengers of the Damned" were the highlights
