The Bosque Circle Ranch is a great place to take the kids for birthday parties or even just for riding lessons. During the holidays they sometimes have deals such as 30% off. If you're into something a little more leisurely you can take a ride along the Rio Grande on a trial ride. Riding lessons cost $35/hour and the trail rides run for about two hours and cost $50. Ages 6 and above are welcome to ride and safety is always a priority. Birthday parties run $300 and can accommodate 10 children for two hours. The Bosque Circle Ranch is located near Coors and Alameda. Contact number: 505-620-6888
Get right to the heart of Albuquerque and experience its history by going to the 12-acre Old Town Farm in the Rio Grande Valley. What I like about this ranch is that you, as the rider, are allowed to ride at your own pace. Whether you are a more experienced rider or a novice, you are welcome to take things at a comfortable pace for you. There is also a jump arena for those interested. They are located near I-40 on Montoya Rd. Call for rates and additional questions: (505) 764 9116
If you're looking to combine a nice evening in a Bed & Breakfast with some horse riding adventure, then the Cedar Crest Country Cottage & Stables is more ideal for your needs. The Bed and Breakfast is beautifully decorated in a Southwestern décor. During the day you will be taken on a peaceful horse ride into the Sandia mountains. For one to three hours you can take a ride through the Cibola National Forest enjoying nature. Rates are $30/hr per person. Additional rides are featured at various prices including a waterfall ride, overlook view ride and a canyon ride. All sound incredibly beautiful and memorable. For more information call: 505-281-5197
