If you are looking to impress your friends try hosting a wine and cheese party. Pull out the fancy dishes and crystal wine glasses. Get out the white linen tablecloths and decide what invitations you want to send out. Here are tips and trick on how to host your own wine and cheese party.

Hosting A Wine and Cheese Party
One Pick out your invitations for the party and fill them out. Choose party invitations that are elegant and classic looking. If you are going with a color scheme at your wine and cheese party then get invitations to match.
Two Two weeks before the party mail your invitations to the guests inviting them to the party and telling them any special instructions. (example: black tie affair)
Three Buy the party decorations. Get things that are similar or all the same color to stay with a theme. Different themes could include wine, cheese, or a country from which all your cheeses are coming from.
Four Choose types of wine that is going to be enjoyed by your guests. If your guests have a higher taste for fine wine then buy accordingly. If most of your friends have never tasted wine then try getting a wide variety for them to try.
Five While you are thinking of buying the wine selection for your wine and cheese party also keep in mind the guests who cannot drink, don't want to drink, or don't like wine. Get other types of beverages for your friends besides alcohol.
Six Brush up on your cheese and wine knowledge. Even if you cannot learn it all at least learn about the different wines and cheeses you will be offering.
Seven The night before your party go purchase the cheese. Again, like the wine you want cheese your guests will enjoy. Choose cheeses that are going to please the pallets of your friends and family. Pick a wide variety of cheese such as sharp cheddar, Swiss, Colby jack, asiago cheese, vegetarian cheese, and American cheese.
Eight Along with cheese you should also get finger foods like crackers, spreads, meat trays, vegetable trays, and fruit trays. This offers your guests a variety of foods.
