Host a Spa Party

Pampering Your Face, Hands, and Feet

Begin by sending out cute invitations to your guests. Since the theme surrounding spa parties tends to be relaxation, you can make your invitation to reflect this. Using Avery.com's free templates, create a customized invitation with an image in the front of a person getting a massage. Write the details of the spa party inside and include a bag of black tea in each envelope.

During the spa party, be sure to have refreshments and snacks available. Food ideas include shrimp cocktail, croissants with melted turkey and cheese, and pita chips with hummus. If you choose to have alcoholic drinks, margaritas and strawberry daiquiris are simple yet tasty drinks. Non-alcoholic drinks that would work are strawberry and banana smoothies, mango iced tea and limeade with fresh raspberries.

The beauty treatments should cover three areas of the body: face, hands and feet. Start by having the ladies make their own facial masks using ripe avocados, honey and olive oil, all of which are natural and healthy ingredients for your skin. Apply to the face and leave on for 15 minutes before rinsing off with cool water. Make your own toner by soaking rose petals in witch hazel, then use a cotton ball to wipe on the face.

For the feet, you'll want to do a simple detox. Fill buckets with hot water and add several teabags of black tea. This will pull toxins from the feet. Supply each guest with a pair of aloe-lined socks they can slip on over their feet to moisturize as they continue with their spa party. An electric foot massager can be bought for under $40 and each guest can have a turn at getting a nice foot massage.

Start the hand treatment by soaking nails in a bowl of warm water with lemon oil. This will help remove grime under the fingernails and leave the cuticles whiter than before. Rub in some olive oil for a conditioning treatment to the cuticles. Using a body scrub, exfoliate your hands with it and warm water. This will remove the dead skin and leave your hands feeling soft and smooth. Like the aloe-lined socks, there are also aloe-lined gloves that guests can put on to soften their skin and penetrate vitamins deep in the skin.

Send each guest home with a bag full of spa goodies they can use later, such as hand cream, peppermint foot cream and a buff pad to exfoliate the face.
