Hosting a Creative Memories Scrapbook Party

Laura Ward
Have you ever been asked to host a party for someone and turned it down because you did not know what to do? Perhaps you did not think that you had enough room in your home or you did not know who to invite. Hosting a party does not have to be detailed and the main thing to do is invite friends and family to your party!

When it comes to hosting a Creative Memories scrapbooking party, it is easy! First of all, invite everyone that you know that takes pictures. Think of all of your friends, family members, co-workers, classmates, children's friends and church members. Other possible invites can be found in the form of contacts. Who cuts your hair or cleans your home? Do you have a nanny or babysitter that would be interested? Try to avoid making the decision for the person. Sometimes it is easy to say that someone would not want to come because they do not scrapbook, when in actuality, the person just do not realize how easy and fun scrapbooking can be! Always give each person the opportunity to decide whether or not they would like to come or not. Perhaps the most important key to a successful party is to over invite! One date is not going to be good for everyone and some people will say they can come and won't. Make sure to invite lots of people so that you have a good turnout!

Your party can be done in a variety of ways. From organization tips, page layouts, digital storybooks, computer software to store photos and simple border classes, there is a party for everyone! Find out whether your attendants are new scrapbookers or experienced at the hobby. This can help your Creative Memories consultant decide which type of party to do. Ask your attendants if they use digital or film cameras as well.

Food is always a good thing to have at a party, but do not feel like you have to go all out with refreshments. A couple of drinks and a sweet and salty snack are more than enough. Because people will be creating pages and working with pictures, most people will not want to eat during the session. Offer refreshments during the meet and greet session at the beginning of the party or at the end during the ordering time.

Keep in contact with the consultant and ask any questions that you have about the party. Most of all, have fun at the party and enjoy preserving your memories!!

Cathy, you can order directly from Creative Memories if you don't have any desire to host a party, but just want to buy. I'm a CM consultant in Indiana, and I would be glad to have your business.
