Hot Air Balloon Rides in the Hocking Hills

Enjoy an Adventure in the Hocking Hills

The Hocking Hills region of southern Ohio is located in the Hocking and Vinton County areas. In addition to the many hiking, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, equestrian pursuits available in the Hocking Hills, visitors can also take a trip in a hot air balloon.

It's "up, up, and away" for scores of Hocking Hills adventure seekers at the Hocking Hills Hot Air Ballooning Center. This facility is open year around, and only cancels excursions when inclement weather occurs. Reservations are recommended at least five days in advance of a flight.

The average flight time is two hours, with just before sunrise and sunset considered prime times for a ride in the friendly skies above the Hocking Hills. Participants will fly high above the Hocking Hills, and view the breathtaking scenery of southern Ohio. Old Man's Cave and Lake Logan are just two of the popular attractions, which the hot air balloon excursions hover over during the flight.

The balloon baskets can accommodate up to four passengers. Children are welcomed on the flights, but must be at least twelve years old to ride in a Hocking Hills hot air balloon.

All pilots are certified by the Federal Aviation Association. Ride prices vary depending upon type of flight, number of participants, and the type of amenities requests. General prices range from $250 to $795 per flight.

This Hocking Hills attraction is connected to the "A Georgian Manner" bed and breakfast lodging facility. Special hot air balloon ride and lodging packages are often available. A ladies' night out getaway package is offered year around, weather permitting.

A private champagne excursion for two is one of the most popular flight packages at this Hocking Hills attraction. Dare devil couples can elect to get married during a hot air balloon ride. The "Marriage Package" includes the ride, champagne, one-night accommodations in the honeymoon suite, photos and digital photo disc, marriage certificate, bridal bouquet, and two commemorative t-shirts.

The bed and breakfast boasts a Jacuzzi in the honeymoon suite. This "old Victorian" themed facility offers a glimpse back into time, while offering modern conveniences. The lodging owners also offer outdoor wedding, catering, and photography services.

Visitors for the Hocking Hills Hot Air Balloon Center and "A Georgian Manner" will likely spot native Ohio wildlife while enjoying the walking trails and Lake Logan waterfront. The view of Lake Logan attracts many visitors to this bed and breakfast, which offers romantic packages separate from the hot air balloon option. Roses, wine, meat and cheese trays are prepared in advance and awaiting visitors in their room upon arrival.
