Hot Air Ballooning in Orlando, Florida

There is no better way to see Cinderella's Castle at the Magic Kingdom Park than from high over the park in a hot air balloon. Balloon rides take guests over some of the more popular areas of the Orlando area, including Walt Disney World, Universal Studios Orlando and SeaWorld. It is a great way to see the theme parks with out the crowds and traffic to get there.

The Characters in Flight attraction located in the Downtown Disney West Side area is a must do for those seeking a secure hot air balloon ride. It is a great way to get your wings wet and test the skies with the security of being still attached to the ground. From the air you will be able to see all of the Walt Disney World Resorts below and on a clear day as far as downtown Orlando.

As of January 2011 the cost to take a ride on Characters in Flight is $18 for adults ages 10 and up and $12 for children ages three to nine. Children under three years of age are free. For more information call 407-W-Disney.

Painted Horizons

Painted Horizons offers hot air balloons over some of Central Florida's more popular attractions. From the air you will be able to see Orlando, Kissimmee and the Walt Disney World Resorts. Family and group flights are available, as well as private couples flights where romance is added with a champagne toast. All flights average about one hours in length, but be prepared to spend two to three hours to cover flight checks and landings.

As of January 2011 flights with Painted Horizons cost $425 per couple for private flights, $180 per person for non-private flights and children ages seven to 12 cost $60 with two paying adults. There is a discounted price of $150 per person for parties of four or more. (Tax and gratuities not included.)

Aerostat Adventures

Aerostat Adventures works to ensure you have a memorable and safe hot air balloon ride over the Orlando area. All flights are limited to six guests to ensure the enjoyment of everyone on board. Your flight will take your over Central Florida, or you can choose to fly out of Tampa where you can see all of the Bay's waterfront attractions and a fantastic view of the Gulf of Mexico.
