Hot Air Reports "Obama: We're Working on Gun Control 'Under the Radar.'"

Snidely Whiplash
According to Hot Air, on the 30th anniversary of the attempt to kill Reagan, Jim and Sarah Brady stopped by the White House and learned some interesting things. If one recalls, Jim Brady was Reagan's press secretary who was gravely wounded by Hinckley's gunfire meant for the president. Almost all gun control mentions since that day in 1981 have some aspect referring to Jim Brady, as in the Brady Bill which is a gun control measure.

Here's what happened on March 30, 2011 when Jim and Sarah Brady stopped by the White House: "Brady...met with White House press secretary Jay Carney. During the meeting, President Obama dropped in and, according to Sarah Brady, brought up the issue of gun control, "to fill us in that it was very much on his agenda," she said. Then here's the next thing that happened..."I just want you to know that we are working on it," Brady recalled the president telling them. "We have to go through a few processes, but under the radar."

The article continues on with "The statement reinforces an article in the Huffington Post describing how the administration is exploring ways to bypass Congress and enact gun control through executive action. The Department of Justice reportedly is holding meetings discussing the White House's options for enacting regulations on its own or through adjoining agencies and departments. "Administration officials said talk of executive orders or agency action are among a host of options that President Barack Obama and his advisers are considering."

Well, well, well...our "no more politics as usual" usurper once again shows his true colors and that is not a reference to his biracial status but a reference to his underhandedness; his ability to appear harmless and just so wonderful; his super intelligence far above that of we mortal men. It's all a lie folks. Obama tells us he won't touch gun laws and the SCOTUS ruled the Second Amendment is indeed the right for private individuals to own firearms, and now our own little hypocrite (or liar if one prefers) president admits to Brady he's working "under the radar." Frankly folks I am of two minds on this.

My first instinct is to get pissed off mad at our "Liar in Chief," but then I knew he was a liar before he was "in chief" so no news there. Then it dawned on me....I have stockpiled guns and ammo for just this event. Obama has before admitted he favored a 500% tax on guns and ammo. Imagine that! A $400 assault rifle going for $400 plus 500% tax, which would then make that gun with taxes cost $2400!" Man oh man am I going to make a fortune!!!!

And remember fools, even this Messiah cannot grandfather in a law...for the sycophants that means no future law can be passed to apply to any former ownership. It means FUTURE sale of firearms and ammo may be subject to the 500% tax Obama would love to make one plunk down, but one can't be taxed on guns or ammo owned before a new law is passed.

For specific example, the Thompson sub machine guns, known as "Tommyguns" used to be legal for anyone to own but in 1927 I believe, the Feds made ownership of fully automatic weapons a special and heavily taxed honor. If one owned a Tommygun the day before the law was passed the government could never take it from them. Of course to "transfer" ownership to anyone else the proper paperwork had to be applied for and approved and a heavy tax had to be paid, but anyone who legally owned a Tommygun the day before the new law, if still alive today, can still own said fully automatic weapon.

That means that if one owns assault rifles no one can ever tax them later for owning them without paying a tax, as there is no tax now. And as a private citizen I can sell whatever I want to whomever I wish without taxes being collected. I only have to collect taxes and register a sale if I am in retail or wholesale, but not private citizen to private citizen.

All the foregoing being said, imagine the price of a $400 assault rifle today goes to say $2400, with the 500% tax of course? And that can of 1060 rounds of Soviet military surplus ammo that now sells for near $175 will sell for about $1000. Holy Mother of God! Can you say someone is sitting on one huge pile of cash? I foresaw this stuff and stockpiled and was also smart enough to cache much of it in anticipation of this stuff coming down the pike.

Anyhow, some of us are gonna be sitting pretty folks. And 'tween now and the time good old Obama can complete his up to no good actions we will buy even more of all of it. Suddenly my lovely wife's complaining about all the guns and ammo seems a waste of breath, no? I told her it was an investment at every turn. She'd lament "How many assault rifles do you need?" To which I replied "not as many as you have pairs of shoes and these never wear out and they go up in value there Toots!" And when I go to every gun show and lug home another 5000 rounds of ammo she gets to squalling again.

Don't ya just love it when lefties try to be so damned smart and smarmy and no matter how hard they try to circumvent the law and their promises and even the recent SCOTUS ruling and STILL we get over on them?

Gotta go....laughin' too hard to go on now.....besides, gotta load up the truck and head to the country with my shovel, diggin' iron and pick. Got some deep holes to dig....see ya'll next time when I ain't laughing too hard to write. And while I'm laughing and digging, perhaps people who care for this nation will spend a bit of time considering the implications, legal as well as moral, to our wonderful president's admission. What it portends for a nation when a leader tells us he respects the Constitution and the co-equal branch, the Supreme Court, and then admits he's "working under the radar?" Gotta love, love, love the Bamster! TTFN.
