Hot Colors in Women's Apparel for Fall 2010

Shirley Norling
Fall is in the air. It's time to pack up some of those lime green tank tops and bring out the warm colors of the autumn season. Fall by far has the most beautiful colors of all the seasons, in my opinion. From the changing colors of the leaves to the fashions we will be wearing, fall will definitely be noticeable all around us. Fall 2010 will have some popular color trends in the clothes that we will be wearing. Looking through the stores, in catalogs and fashion magazines and online, I noticed 3 of the following colors seem to be very popular.

1. Grey: Grey seems to be everywhere in woman's clothes for fall 2010. Whether it's charcoal grey, heather grey, graphite, or grey tweeds, plaids and pinstripes, the fashion smart lady will be wearing some sort of shade of grey in Autumn 2010. One reason I believe that grey is so popular is that you can pair it with so many of those warm fall colors. Reds, plums, orange, turquoise, spice colors and berries are just a few of the many colors that grey works well with. I think grey looks best worn as a bottom color in a pant or skirt or a nice charcoal grey sweater is another favorite way of mine to wear grey. I recently paged through a Chadwicks catalog that I received in the mail and noticed they had several items of women's clothing for fall 2010 in grey. There were a lot of grey pants, both dressy and casual as well as 2 piece suits featured in grey. If you're interested in checking out this company for fashionable women's apparel, they also have a website, Chadwicks.com that has very reasonably priced women's clothes for fall 2010 in the latest styles and colors.

2. Animal prints: This is a color scheme that you're either going to love or hate, but it is very popular in women's clothes for the Autumn 2010 season. Many designers like M by Marc Bouwer, Bob Mackie, Dennis Basso and Rachel Zoe, just to name a few, carry lines of women's clothes in animal prints. QVC sells many of these designer lines, which is where I discovered a lot of them. Animal prints in women's clothes are also available and very popular in many retail mall stores like JC Penney, Kohl's, Macys etc. for fall 2010. I think these somewhat trendy animal prints are so popular today in women's clothes because many individuals just like that "back to nature" look. I prefer wearing my animal prints in a top or blouse rather then top to bottom in a dress or coat. A scarf or pair of gloves is also a nice way to show off your animal prints without being too bold. If you're an online shopper, check out QVC.com for a wide rage of animal print fashions.

3. Purples & plums: These colors have been, and continue to be be very hot colors in women's fashions and the Autumn 2010 season is no exception. I think the rich colors of plums and purples are so popular because almost everyone looks good in these colors. They tend to brighten up even the dullest complexions. I like purples in tops and sweaters or anything else that brings the color close to the face. It adds that nice pop of color to whatever bottom you may be wearing. It also goes very well with the ever popular grey color for fall 2010. I found a lot of nice purple and plum color tops and sweaters at Kohls, JC Penney, and Herberger's, although every store out there that sells women's clothes seemed to carry a lot of purple wearing apparel for women for Autumn 2010.

These 3 popular colors for the Autumn 2010 season can be all mixed and matched in women's clothes, I feel. Try a purple tank top under a black and white animal print cardigan, paired with a grey pair of jeans or trousers and you'll be one hot lady in fall 2010.
