Hot Dogs in Los Angeles

Ashley
There are numerous hot dog stands and shops in the Los Angeles area. Hollywood has some of the more popular hot dogs, and from time to time, even the celebrities grab a bite to eat at one of these modest stands.

Skooby's Hot Dogs

Skooby's Hot Dogs is located right there on Hollywood Blvd. Visitors can eat a hot dog while sitting on the Walk of Fame! Not only is it conveniently located, but it's also open late for those who end up strolling the Walk of Fame at night. Skooby's is known for it's Garlic Lover's Dog, but that's not the only thing on the menu. Along with Skooby's Original Hot Dog (which costs only $2), hungry visitors can also order a Quesadilla dog, a variety of French fries, or even freshly made lemonade!

The Wiener Factory

While writing this article, I came across a small family-owned and operate hot dog shop located on Ventura Blvd. in Sherman Oaks. It got fantastic reviews and was known for it's informal atmosphere and the fact that the shop had character. Unfortunately, The Wiener Factory was shut down in order for a PinkBerry's to be built in its current location. Unfortunately, it seems that hot dog lovers who had yet to visit The Wiener Factory have missed out.

Carney's

My personal favorite hot dog restaurant is Carney's. In 2007 it was voted Best Hot Dog in LA and won 3rd place for Best Hamburger in LA. Carney's is located on Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood, and can't be missed. The building is a train car! The menu has a lot to offer if you're not a hot dog fanatic. They serve hamburgers served with or without chili., chicken wraps, polish sausage, and fries served with or without chili.

Pink's

Pink's opened in 1939 by Paul and Betty Pink. Pink's started as a small push crat, but in 1946 it received a more permanent makeover. Today, Pink's can be found in the same location it originated at. It's on La Brea Blvd in Hollywood. It's another hot dog shop that's open late to service the night crowd. On the menu at Pink's, you can find the turkey dog, Guadalajara dog, and bacon chili cheese dog. Pink's is known for having a very long line running out the door of the shop, so be prepared to wait in line if you're set on eating here!

If you are in the mood for a hot dog, there's no shortage to the locations available! The variety of hot dogs that you can find in these shops is amazing!
