Enjoy your stay at this beautiful resort that's convenient to Cancun but a bit apart from the busy hotel zone. With 22 acres, a private peninsula and white sand beach, plus a lagoon side, it's a superb location for vacationing families. Snorkel right from the beach (kids love this) in a protected natural reef, swim in an infinity pool, kayak, go sailing and learn to use the trapeze. There are also many lessons and group activities to enjoy. Some sports will incur an extra charge - scuba diving, etc. If you book your air with Club Med, you'll be welcomed at the airport with private car transportation to/from the resort.
Choose your room or suite based on the number of people traveling and the level of service you prefer. All rooms include air conditioning, a flat screen TV, internet connection, a shower room, US electrical plugs (110V), iron/ironing board, safe, and a coffee maker. Many deluxe rooms include a private balcony, and all feature bathrobes and slippers, daily turn down service, room service, and concierge service. Their suites feature ocean views, bathtubs, complimentary laundry service plus all of the amenities provided with the deluxe rooms. All rooms are located on the ground floor or two levels above - there are no elevators.
Take advantage of their "Club Med Baby Welcome" program if an infant is traveling with you. They'll provide amenities such as strollers, cribs, baby bathtubs, and bottle warmers. (Be sure to confirm a crib when making your reservation.) You'll find high chairs in the restaurants and the Baby Zone in the La Hacienda restaurant stocks baby food and the equipment to prepare infant meals.
Dine in the La Hacienda restaurant, which is open for three meals daily with an international cuisine buffet plus Mexican specialties. Smokers can dine outside on the terrace. Snacks are available day and night at La Pergola which overlooks the ocean. In the evening tapas are served at your table at La Pergola and reservations are required. Las Casuelas is built on stilts allowing unparalleled ocean views and you'll enjoy buffet lunches here with table service provided at dinner. Reservations are required for dinner and Mexican cuisine is served. Several lounges are available during the day and evening. The open-air discothèque is open til the wee hours and cigar box service is available on the terrace of Le Soluna (extra fee applies). Many branded drinks are included in the price; champagnes and wines, VSOP and XO spirits will incur an extra charge.
Relax as parents, knowing the Club Med children's programs offer special activities geared to various age groups. The Mini Club Med is set up for children 4 to 10 and offers sports and creative activities according to their age. 11 to 17 year olds will enjoy the Club Med Passworld which divides teens into two groups by age and offers activities or just "hanging out" in a special area called the "Car Wash."
Experience the local culture with special tours and excursions. Ask if there are any included excursions; there are some packages which include a tour. The hotel concierge will help with arrangements for these tours and other special activities.
Young singles will probably not enjoy this resort because it now caters mainly to families
