Hot Holiday Toys for 2007: Pat Pat Pocket to Hannah Montana

Laura Ward
Every year, there are toys that are considered "hot" items. These hot toys are usually very hard to find, and when you do find them, they can often be very expensive. Of course, it is best to purchase the items early on in the year before the holiday rush even begins. Oftentimes, stores will sell out of the hot toys and gift givers are usually at a loss on what to purchase. What is on the "hot" list for 2007? Read on to find out!

Disney Einstein's Pat Pat Rocket: The Disney Einstein's Pat Pat Rocket can be found at Target retailers throughout the nation. The pat pat rocket is a very popular toy this year and most Target locations have been sold out for quite some time. One sales clerk has told me that they sell out as soon as they put them on the shelf. The red rocket comes with four character figures from the show and your child can pat so that rocket can respond. Target is selling the toy for about $40, but if you can't find it there, expect to pay much more. Amazon.com and Ebay.com have them available for about $75.

Nintendo Wii Game System: The game system that was popular last year, remians poular this year! Children, teenagers and adults are asking for this game system in which the player actively participates in the gaming experience. Most department and electronic stores carry the Nintendo Wii, but many are already sold out. You can always find a Nintendo Wii on Ebay.com. However, like all hot toys, expect to pay an inflated price for the item this year.

Smart Cycle: The smart cycle is anticipated to be a hot item among preschool aged children. The smart cycle is a game system in which the child pedals along as they learn through educational games. The stationary bicycle encourages children to stay active while they are playing the games. So far, most retailers have not had a problem selling out of the smart cycles.

Hannah Montana Doll: The Hannah Montana doll is likely going to be a first pick amongst little girls. Hannah Montana has become a favorite since appearing on Disney Channel. You can find the Hannah Montana doll at Wal Mart, Toys R Us and also on Amazon.com and Ebay.com. The Hanna Montana doll is selling for $15 dollars and up, depending on where you purchase it from.

I'm amazed at how popular Hannah Montana is. I agree that Guitar Hero is very popular and, of course, Wii.

Your article was headed in the right direction but I feel like it could have been longer. It tapered off to a disappointing end.
