Abby Greenhill
Since bringing the Hot News Quickies out of retirement I decided to post them for special news items and today we have one. Please read the quickie and then follow-up with the full versions online or in print.

Washington State Murders:
The murder of four police officers by Maurice Clemmons put police on high alert searching for him. They were given information that Clemmons family and friends were helping him avoid capture. Police went door to door searching and bingo, about 2 AM west coast time they found him. Maurice Clemmons, the alleged murderer is dead. I am sure the people are happy that a murderer is no longer running around free and people will be able to rest a little easier today. Four brave men and woman were simply having a cup of coffee and the lives of so many people changed. Prayers for all of them.

Tiger Woods:
He will not be playing in his own golf tournament this week. It is easy to speculate what happened and who did what with whom or not. Since Tiger has always kept his nose clean with the public it is really hard to decide if he is lying or he is just being Tiger and keeping his personal life to himself. The media has said several times that Tiger always thinks before he speaks and he only says what is necessary to say. I cannot venture a guess what the truth is, I think we all need to wait and see before we judge him.

Alec Baldwin:
Alec has announced that he will retire from acting in 2012. He does not feel that he is a good actor and considers himself a failure, by Hollywood standards. When his contract with 30 Rock expires, he will quit show biz. There is one more Alec Baldwin film coming out on Christmas Day.

The Washington, DC Party Crashers:
The couple who crashed the big DC party were interviewed by Matt Laure on the Today Show this morning. They say they were invited and that they have e-mails as proof that they were invited. They do not understand why they are being put through all the questioning and comments.

Have a good day everyone!

Can't say I'll miss Baldwin's political statements. They are always kind of way out there! But I DO think he is a good actor so I'll be sad to see him retire.

I had not what happened to Clemmons. What a piece of filth; I certainly hope his family and friends who were helping him hide have been arrested and charged.

I just wish they'd leave Tiger alone. This is a private matter between him and his wife! As for the party crashers, they belong in jail. I cannot believe they are still walking around free!

Oh, I hate that Alec Baldwin is retiring. He is still a good looking man! If Kim doesn't want him, I will take him!
