Unlike so many others, the Oklahoma City, for-profit thrift store is clean and inviting. This is likely because of their commitment to offering quality goods to Oklahoma residents. As Green puts it "we are much more particular about the quality of items we put out for sale, we don't like to put anything out that has stains or holes and we like to have a good selection of name-brands. Although we are a for-profit business one of our goals is to promote the recycling of textiles and household items within our community and in return we can offer nice gently-worn items for a low price to help people have nice things that can't afford to shop at the mall."
In addition to clothing, shoes and household items, in the coming year Green says that customers can expect to see more low-priced, IKEA-style furniture, both new and old. You can also find sales every week, in the form of colored price tags that vary from 25 to 75 percent off.
If you want to donate to Ecologie, you have a few options:
"People can drop off their items here at the store or they can place them in our drop-bins in the parking lot, if they have large items such as furniture, etc. we can arrange to pick them up."
Ecologie thrift store in Oklahoma City is open Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
