Shoes are the staple of any women's accessory closet. For many women they must have a pair of shoes for every outfit. Well this summers shoe trends promise to keep the shoe happy lady in the stores and finding many great treasures. Here you will find 5 of the summer's hottest trends in shoes. Any of these fashions can be found at your local Macy's or DSW shoe stores.

Caged boots: These are an extreme way to make a fashion statement but they are all the rage everywhere from New York to London and Paris. They are an open-trellis weave shoe-boot that screams sex appeal. The weave-caged look can be found in basic black and many other bold colors all across the fashion world. My favorite part of these boots is that the heels are chunky and very comfortable to walk in. These are a must have for your fashion statement.

Extreme heels: You may get a sore ankle wearing this hot summer trend but you will look hot doing it. These towering heels can go up to 7 inches tall and promise you won't be walking too far in them. Make sure you plan your outings carefully with a taxi or someone to drive you. But the extra long heel is glamorous and sexy promising to turn some heads.

Strappy sandals: If skyscraper heels are not your thing here is the opposite end of things for you. These flats are often embellished with studded gems and pretty embroidery on the straps. These shoes look wonderful with a knee length summer dress or slim pair of Capri pants. They are classic and comfortable defiantly worth picking up a pair this summer.

Platform heels: This trend has made several rounds in the fashion industry. But it can never be counted out. With colorful rainbows and skyscraper stilettos with rounded toes you can see them at the height of fashion. They come in suede, satin, metallic and every print you could ever dream of. Show a little bravery and put these brash heels on your feet for a good show.

Gladiator sandals: The Romans were fashionable people and they still seem to be with this popular trend. The key word with the gladiator sandals is big. They offer big bold buckles and the best impact can be made with a knee-high or mid-calf style. Wear them with a something simple so that the attention can be drawn to the sandal. Shorts and a nice t-shirt are perfect. You can find these large boots in any color from black and tan to pastels. Pay the ancients a little homage with these sandals.
