Hot, New Shows for the 2008 Fall Line Up
The Fall Season May Be Cool Outside, but TV Will Be Smoking with This Years Lineup
"Worst Week", based on the BBC's show, "The Worst Week of My Life", features Kyle Bornheimer, Kurtwood Smith, Nancy Lenehan and Erinn Hayes. Worst Week is about Sam Briggs, a magazine editor, who tries very hard to impress his girlfriend and her family. Sam is a bit haphazard and will be found doing idiocies like urinating in a pot of marinating food and setting things on fire, all in an attempt to impress his future in-laws.
The show will air on Mondays on CBS at 8:30 CST.
Well known actor Christian Slater will also be in prime time line-up this fall with his new show, "My Own Worst Enemy", where he plays a man who develops a split personality after a brain implant goes wrong. One side can be ranked with Ward Cleaver, while the other can be a cold, heartless killer. Each personality will be vying to take over and be in control. Thrills are sure to exist with a plot like that. Other cast members include, Mike O'Malley, Alfre Woodard, and Saffron Burrows.
The show will air Monday's on NBC at 9:00 CST.
"The Mentalist" may be one of those you don't want to miss. If you enjoy shows like CSI, Medium and The Closer, "The Mentalist" appears to be a mixture of those rolled into one, in a sense. Simon Baker plays Patrick Jane who is a closer for the California Bureau of Investigation.
The cast line-up includes Tim Kang, Owain Yeoman, and Robin Tunney. "The Mentalist" is part of Tuesday's line-up on CBS. The show airs at 8:00 CST.
The show, "Fringe" is similar to a plot about government agents investigating weird events. Although it's not like TV's X-Files, the crew does hope for a long running series. This one has been touted as one of the wildest rides of the fall season line-up.
It will be part of Tuesday's line-up airing on Fox at 8:00 CST. It could be a hard choice between catching it and "The Mentalist". You may want to set the DVR.
Other shows for the hot, new fall season include; "90210", a whole new breed of teens running the halls of West Beverly High. "Opportunity Knocks", a new spin on a game show. "Privileged", about spoiled-rotten rich kids who need accepted into Duke University. "Knight Rider", a spin off of the original continues the story as the son of Michael Knight.
The fall season is sure to offer something for everyone with over 100 new shows coming out this year. Get the popcorn out and plan to sit in front of the TV, you could be there awhile deciding which shows are your new favorites.
