Hot Tools Ceramic Flat Iron

I have very curly and frizzy hair, but have always dreamt of having straight smooth hair. It was not until a couple years ago when I went to get my hair done at the hairdressers that I was introduced to the Hot Tools Ceramic Flat Iron.

This product has changed my life. When I straighten my hair, I feel good about myself. It makes my hair 100% straight and smooth, whereas, with other straighteners I have used, my hair still had some waves and was still very frizzy. Older flat irons took more time to straighten my hair and did not even do half the job Hot Tools does. They were not very efficient at all.

Hot Tools Ceramic Flat Irons come in various shapes and sizes depending on the type of job you want to do. They have widths ranging from thin to very wide. I happen to have the medium width straightener, but my hairdresser uses the skinny width in order to get close to the roots of my hair. I personally have no trouble doing this with my medium width flat iron and also find that I am able to straighten more surface area faster.

While I love this product, there are a couple of things I must warn you of. First, make sure your hair is completely dry before you use it. Otherwise your hair will sizzle, especially if you have put product/creams in your hair beforehand. This just adds to the sizzle and will smell. It may also burn the coloring off of the flat iron.
Secondly, like any other hot item, do not put the straightener on or too close to flammable products or items that will easily melt such as plastic combs. I have partially melted a comb in the past. Oops!

Thirdly, be careful not to get your hair caught in the straightener where the purple heated iron part of the product and the black part of the base meet. There is a very tiny slit in this area, and my hair has gotten caught and pulled out in it many times.

Lastly, Hot Tools gets very hot very quickly. This is a great feature especially if you are in a rush in the morning, but as common sense would tell you, be very careful not to bump the iron against your forehead or ear. This is very easy to do accidentally, especially if you are rushing to get ready.

Overall, I love this product and would not trade it in for anything. It does such a nice job, and once you get used to it, you'll find that you love it too. The positives outweigh the negatives by far!

  • Makes your hair very straight and smooth
  • Heats up quickly
  • Much more efficient than older types of flat irons
The Hot Tools Ceramic Flat Iron comes in various widths and temperature settings to fit your styling needs.
