Hot Tub Time Machine Movie (2010) is Hilarious! Starring John Cusack and Chevy Chase

"Hot Damn!" Movie producers finally made a decent modern comedy film about past history time travel that actually has a funny story! Three middle-aged buddies and a young nephew travel back in time to the year 1986 via a "mysterious hot tub" ironically invented and managed by actor Chevy Chase a.k.a "the repair-man" in this lovable released film in local USA theaters on March 26, 2010!

"Could this story possibly be a copy of the Back to the Future film series?" Oddly enough it stars the famous Hollywood actor Crispin Glover (age 45) played as Phil, a one-armed hotel bellhop, who lost his arm in a tragic accident and was also one of the leading stars of the similar "Back to the Future movie episodes" in the 1980's portrayed as George McFly. (His son Marty McFly was played by Michael J. Fox).

"This hilarious, laugh-out-loud 2010 comedy film will keep you wondering throughout the entire show-time of 100 minutes? How did this bellhop (Phil) lose his right-arm?" This segment of the story seems to pop-up just about every fifteen minutes or so during film viewing for more comedy! Nick Webber-Agnou (Craig Robinson, age 38) has taken on his wife's last name, criticized by his life-time two buddies of course, upon checking into this run-down Kodiak Valley Ski Resort hotel room, where they all had so much fun over the years past.

Nick stated, this is the way it is in modern times for happily married men? although he finally finds out that his present wife Courtney (Kellee Stewart) has cheated on him. "Comically calling her in their Hot Tub time travel adventure back to the year of 1986" while she was still at the tender age of nine years old! Making this film that much more comical and enjoyable for theater viewing pleasure!

Lou (Rob Corddry, age 39) actually leads this film with his continuous sarcastic and verbal use of the word "fu.k and or fu.king!" Which unfortunately confuses his acting dialouge or character part that he states so many times over and over again throughout the entire film. If you can over-look this unnecessary and continuous profanity of the word fu.k? His character part is really funny. (Most viewers will understand that this is a bunch of guys getting drunk, messed up on something and talking dirty).

John Cusack's (Adam) part seems to be rather small? Especially, since he has been advertised as the leading actor in this film. However? Even at the age of 43 years old, John still has the boyish face and body of a teenager. "Ironically?" his character part in this 2010 comedy film reminds me of one of his earlier films called "Better Off Dead" released in 1985 or his film called "One Crazy Summer" as Hoops McCann in 1986.

Reluctantly? The three buddies (over Lou's protests), drag along young "Internet/Game Video Geek" Jacob (Clark Duke), Adam's nephew to this life-time friends hotel resort, which has lost it's "cool adventurous glamor" over the years, trying to reminisce over how much fun they had in this public ski resort.

"What was even stranger and funnier than ever was Collette Wolfe played as Kelly, Adam's sister, conceiving nephew Jacob with his unknown father? "While the three of them were disgustingly watching in 1986!" Although, Jacob remarkably disappeared during this time period similar to the film "Back to the Future!"

I was completely surprised that the film never played any music by *Madonna or Michael Jackson? Whom at the time of 1986 were two of the greatest recording artist played on the radio over and over again. However? They did play some songs by heavy metal groups "Motley Crue and Poison". (*This could have been a result of copyrights and the high cost of fees).

This 2010 released film and produced by MGM/United Artists called: "Hot Tub Time Machine" was rated by expert movie critics giving it a high rating of B-. Yahoo.com users gave it high rating of B+. I personally gave it a high rating of B+ also. The film does show some partial female breast nudity, and male buttocks. "Go see it!" It's well worth the price of a theater movie ticket. Especially, if you are out with a bunch of guys or even gals, looking for an evening of laughter!
