And it's getting coverage in the news, too. According to the Associated Press, an 11-year-old Louisville, Kentucky, boy, Landon Wilburn, is using it to track speeders in his neighborhood.
Why is this a neat gift?
Most children want to become doctors or cops when they grow up and research has shown that when you help a child to reach out to their dreams, they have the tendency to fulfill their goals. Purchasing a gift like this will help your child to dream even bigger about being a Police Officer.
Toys to go with the Hot Wheels Radar Gun
A child can dream as big as they are and surprise people when they know more about their passion than a grown person. Letting their dreams grow is what helps them to learn creativity and explore their options early in life.
There are many different toys that you can purchase to go along with the Hot Wheels Radar Gun such as a police officer outfit. Costume shops sell these as well as many different toy stores. The police officer outfit usually comes with a badge and hat to complete the costume. The gun is optional and I know that a lot of parents are against toy guns and this is why many toy stores started selling the toy guns separately so that they parents could choose if they wanted it or not.
Shoes aren't often sold as an accessory item with the police uniform. If you want to give your child the full affect, purchase a pair of cheap black boots at Wal-Mart or Payless Shoe Source. The shoes will help to complete the uniform but is not necessary.
Other toys to inspire along with the Hot Wheels Radar Gun
There are many toys that help children to fantasize about being something such as a police officer. The Hot Wheels Radar Gun is only one of many toys that are out there that let kids play along like their heroes.
There is a complete outfit that comes with roles such as doctors that can be purchased at most toy stores. The doctor outfit allows the child to play like he or she is a doctor taking someone temperature or checking their heart. Just like the Hot Wheels Radar Gun, the child is able to see a little bit of what it would be like in that position.
How much do these toys cost including the Hot Wheels Radar Gun?
The cost of these toys vary but the Hot Wheels Radar Gun is selling for around $30 and makes a great gift for a child with big dreams. Many of these toys are sold for around $20 and goes up with the more technology that they use.

My eight-year-old grandson would love this!
And Rosa, you won't believe this but I'd already gotten this item before I saw your article...yes, really :) It is way cool!
oh jcorn, I laughed out loud seriously. I remember back in my little town that I grew up in that we would sit on our front porch and yell at speeders.
This certainly seems like a better idea than throwing a rake under a speeder's car, which is what one frustrated neighbor did, years ago. Wow, radar guns for kids!
