So you've found yourself in Baltimore, Maryland? Well, it's no surprise seeing that this is the largest city in Maryland and serves as the state's major cultural and industrial center. The city was named after the founding proprietor of the Maryland Colony, Lord Baltimore. One interesting face, is that after New York City, Baltimore was the second city in the United States to reach a population of 100,000. Baltimore remained one of the ten largest cities in the United States until 1970, and is now in the top 20. So, it is no wonder that you have found yourself in this city, as it is home to many business and attractions. So, there is only one more thing to be said about Baltimore, which hotels should you stay at? Well, I have researched and reviewed the top three of this cities amazing hotels for your consideration.

The first hotel in which I reviewed is the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel. This four-star-hotel rests across from Inner Harbor and is in an ideal location for shopping. The lobby of this hotel is one to marvel at, seeing that it is a "sunken lobby," and has marble walls, fountains and recessed lighting. This hotel is only three blocks from the National Aquarium, and is connected to the Gallery, a four-story shopping mall housed in a glass atrium. Some of the various amenities this hotel offers its guests includes an indoor splash pool, spa tub, and a fitness center for guests to stay in shape while on the move. There is also complimentary wireless Internet access available in the lobby and lounge. This twelve-story hotel has 622 guestrooms with antique-reproductions of its furnishings, giving it a very nice touch. Some of the various amenities this hotel offers its guests includes complimentary weekday newspapers, coffeemakers, complimentary premium channels. The hotel offers its guests a choice of using the Wired for Business program, which gives guests the opportunity to take advantage of complimentary Internet access, local and long distance calls.

The second hotel in which I reviewed is the Peabody Court - A Clarion Hotel. This four-star-hotel is only blocks from the Baltimore Convention Center and the Walters Art Museum. This hotel was built in 1928 as a luxury apartment building. The hotel features a two-story lobby with a six-foot-long Baccarat crystal chandelier. This hotel is located within Baltimore's arts and business districts, which makes it a literal Mecca for business and leisure travelers. Some of the various amenities this hotel offers its guests includes a fitness room with weight machines, treadmills, exercise bicycles, and stair machines. In the mood for an "actual" health club? Well, guests of this hotel can enjoy use of the Downtown Athletic Club for a minimal fee. This hotel has 104 guestrooms, all of which have complimentary wireless and wired high-speed Internet access.

And the last hotel in which I reviewed is the Hyatt Regency Baltimore. This four-star-hotel is glass-enclosed and faces the Inner Harbor, which give guests amazing views. The atrium lobby of this hotel gives way to glass elevators, and small conversation spaces throughout the first and second floor. This hotel is extremely close to the Convention Center, so it is a very popular destination for convention goers, and business travelers. Some of the various amenities this hotel offers its guests includes an on-site health club with fitness equipment, aerobic classes, saunas, and tanning facilities which are available for a surcharge. The landscaped rooftop houses a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, two tennis courts, a putting green, and a running track. This hotel has 486 guestrooms, all of which come with floor-to-ceiling windows, wireless Internet access for a surcharge, and cable TV.
