Hotel Nashville in Indiana

Audrey Brown
This rustic hotel is perfect for a mid-western weekend getaway. The hotel itself is built into a hill at the top of the tourist town of Nashville, Indiana. So the views from most rooms are beautiful. Consider staying in the fall, ask for a room on the top floor corner facing the town, and get an amazing view of the fall foliage like you've never seen before.

The atmosphere is more like a bed and breakfast (without the daily breakfast) than it is of a city hotel. Things are nice and quiet, and the rooms are large and cozy. In fact, most of the rooms are less like hotel rooms and more like apartments or condominiums. Because the hotel is located in the mid-west, you'll find that prices are far cheaper than they would be in a coastal environment. You get much more for your money regarding space and amenities than you would in Florida or California. Of course, there's no beach or theme park to attend, that's why I recommend this vacation spot for relaxing and unwinding.

One of the best features of Hotel Nashville is the pool, spa, and sauna area. The mid-west can get achingly cold in the wintertime, but Hotel Nashville's pool is heated to perfection. It usually feels like bathwater. It's an indoor pool, with large glass windows and skylights. So you get the outdoor pool experience all year 'round despite the frequently frigid temperatures of Indiana. I have been to this hotel many times, and each time all these facilities were clean and tidy. In addition to that, if you book a stay at the hotel that's off-season (March or April) you can sometimes get special deals. On top of cheaper prices, you often times will have the entire pool area to yourself! This has happened to my husband and I on more than one occasion. Just imagine, having what feels like your own private indoor pool at a hotel on a hill.

The Hotel itself has more of a ski-lodge feel than that of a holiday resort. There are also lots of relaxing activities to do if you would like to get out and about. There is nearby skiing. There is a large national park with miles of hiking trails, called, "Brown County State Park". There is a winery in town, as well as some quaint coffee shops and restaurants. Nashville, as a tourist attraction on it's own, features all kinds of curiosity shops with one-of-a-kind arts and crafts, as well as roasted nut shops, puppet shows, live theater, and candle-makers.

Aside from the environment surrounding the hotel being relaxing, it's also very romantic. It's ideal for anniversaries, Valentine's Day, or even Honeymoons. (It's where I spent mine, which is why I can recommend it so highly.) The staff have always been very friendly to us, and we've never had a bad experience at Hotel Nashville. I highly recommend a stay at this quaint hotel.
