The Hotel
The facility is older, but very well maintained. It is your standard Courtyard design with three floors and over 100 guest rooms (including a few suites). The facility also houses a meeting room, pool, exercise center, breakfast cafe and bar/lounge. Outdoors is a lovely gazebo and sitting area great for meeting with guests or just lying outside to relax and/or read a book.
Amenities
The Courtyard Flint serves it's guests a fantastic complimentary breakfast. Eggs, omelettes and other hot dishes are made to order; nevertheless, there is plenty on the buffet. The buffet usually offers oatmeal, homemade waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, cold cereals, yogurts, breakfast pastries and more. Snacks are available at the front desk 24 hours a day, although they are a little pricey.
During your leisure time you can lounge in the pool or hot tub, or work out in the exercise room. There is a treadmill, stair master and other equipment. Everything is very clean and well maintained. After swimming you can launder your swimwear or other laundry for only $1.25 per cycle. This is a great benefit if you are staying for more than just a couple of days.
One of the greatest amenities at the Courtyard is the shuttle to and from the airport. The shuttle runs every twenty minutes, and you can leave your car at the hotel while away free of charge.
The hotel also offers free high speed internet access along with a business center. You can search the internet, fax and/or have documents faxed to you, or even print out your boarding pass.
The Room
The Marriott has incorporated custom comforters in their standard bedding. It's almost like being in Europe with the thick, and comfy duvets. Unlike other hotels, the Courtyard has very quality mattresses and I actually woke up feeling quite rested.
Some rooms offer balconies with a small sitting area. Each room has cable tv, a desk and chair and a sofa sleeper. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and very spacious.
Customer Service
The staff at the Courtyard Marriott Flint are simply wonderful. They are cooperative and eager to help resolve any problem.
