Disney's Boardwalk Inn is located on Crescent Lake roughly half way between Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park, and EPCOT theme park. Technically the resort is classed in what is known as the EPCOT resort area. The area is lushly themed, and there are walking paths where you can walk to either Hollywood Studios or Epcot. This hotel is ideally situated if your focus is going to be on either of these two theme parks during your stay.
The standard room at Disney's Boardwalk Inn features two queen beds, a seating area, a love seat couch, dresser, and bathroom area with separate double sinks outside of the bathroom. This little feature of having separate double sinks is a real plus, as if you are traveling with a larger size family, everyone can utilize the sinks while the bathroom is occupied. The furnishings of the room are very rich, with everything being shades of white. In addition most of the rooms offer balconies, although the view you end up with does vary quite a bit from room to room.
Service at this resort is top notch, as is usual for most Disney Resorts. Concierge level service is available here at this resort for an additional fee. The front counter staff are very helpful for what ever your request may be.
Of course the big claim to fame at this resort is the boardwalk recreation area. The Boardwalk, which is, designed as a half moon shape fronts Crescent Lake and features restaurants, shops, and clubs. You can think of the boardwalk as a sort of mini downtown Disney area, albeit a little more upscale, and a little more adult. One of the major draws for the boardwalk in the evening is Jellyrolls. This is a dueling piano bar, which can be great evening fun. It's a great bonus to have these entertainment options located right in your resort.
In addition to the boardwalk recreation area the resort also offers other amenities. The pool at this resort is themed like a mini water park and offers an almost 200 foot themed water slide. The resort also features a health club, bike and water craft rentals, tennis and even a small children's playground. In short there is a wide array of recreation options available to you for your stay.
The only real negative about this resort is the prices. Rooms start at around $320 in value season and can go up from there, toping out at over $2500 for a luxury suite. If you are thinking about staying at this resort, it will definitely be a splurge, but you should also be well rewarded for the expense.
