Hotel Review: Nickelodeon Suites in Orlando

Luminaria
If you're looking for a cool place to stay with your kids when in Orlando Florida, then you might want to try the Nickelodeon Suites Hotel (www.nickhotel.com). Their number is 1-877-nick-111. Trust me, this place isn't what I expected by far.

The buildings are orange with green trim, the rooms even more colorful, but the kids loved it. The Nickelodeon Hotel is owned by Holiday Inn Suites, so I didn't expect anything cheap and we didn't get it. This hotel has to be the largest I have ever been in. The Nick Hotel has 777 rooms and suites, as well as sitting on 24 acres right in the center of Orlando.

You, as their guest will find many reasons to stay right there on the property, which I found to be a little too much since you do travel to places to see more then just your hotel. Just a few of their fun things to do with the family are; slides, 2 pools, mini golf, arcades, climbing nets, water jets, and a very large dump tank. These were fun for both the kids as well as all of the adults. If you get the chance, be sure and go see Studio Nick, they have nightly live entertainment and our kids, plus the big kids, loved it. If you and your child are looking for some special pampering, they even have a Kid's Spa. Yes I found this to be strange. But the kids loved it.

The Nickelodeon Hotel is no place for a person or family that doesn't want to have fun. The entire place is very upbeat, colorfully bright, and has a high energy feel about it. As a guest here, you can't help but be a "happy camper". You'll find that all the people are very friendly at this hotel; after all they must have a huge amount of patience for the amount of children that pass through here each day. One thing I found as a nice security fixture was that both you and your children both have id bracelets. They also have gated access for added security.

You, as their guest will find that they have a lot of added on features, yes they are pricey. Some of the features are Pizza Hut room service, a on site photographer incase you forget your cameras, as well as an on-site laundry facility. What's nice for the parents is the Nick @ Nite Lounge; here you can go enjoy a cup of coffee, have a frozen drink, or just relax without the kids around.

Our room was about $228.00 a night before taxes, but it was spacious, comfortable, and fun for the whole family, not just the kids. Over all, I'd have to say that as a family we really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely come back.
