Hotel Review: Pierre Et Vacances, Disneyland Paris
Apartment - Hotel Close to the Disneyland Paris Park
Pierre et Vacances is a partnered Disney hotel, so you can book to stay here independantly or through Disney sites. It caters for large parties or families who wish to go "self catering." Apartments vary in size and some house up to 8 people. Our apartmen catered for 6 people and had a cabin bedroom with 2 bunks, a double bedroom, and a living area with two single sofa beds. There was also a spacious bathroom, and a balcony. There was a kitchen area in the living room with a hob, kettle and fridge and various essentials. The apartment had air conditioning and was warm and cosy. We stayed for 3 nights and were pleased with the accommodation.
We had the option of making our own breakfast but decided to avail of the breakfast in the hotel, which was charged extra to the bill. There was a selection of breads, ham and cheese, toast, tea, coffee, eggs etc, but we found that this was not worth the amount that was charged. There was an option for the evening meal but we decided against this also, but more because we knew we would not be in.
The facilities beyond this were pretty basic, but the hotel was clean and warm and welcoming. There were a few vending machines in the hotel but the shopping centre was a ten minute walk away, and was closed on a Sunday at this time of the year (this was about 3 years ago, and may be open all the time now.)
The Disney shuttle bus arrived at the front door at the correct times and we were there within 20 minutes, as the bus had several hotels to call at.
The staff in the hotel were very welcoming and helpful, and there was a play area in reception for small children to play while you waited on the bus, or while you ate breakfast. There were also large screen tvs in reception to keep children amused.
I enjoyed this short break at the hotel, it had everything we needed but not much more. I would go again if I was on a budget, because it was good value for money and was comfortable.
