When I got the job I applied for at Mercury Insurance, they told me that I had to go to an orientation and it was going to be in Brea, California. They told me I can either drive there for the three-day orientaton and get reimbursed for the money I spend on gas or I can stay in a hotel that they will pay for. Of course, I took the hotel offer since I didn't want to drive in the Anaheim traffic for two consecutive days. They reserved a hotel for me at the Residence Inn in Placentia, CA and i have to say, it was a very pleasant experience.

The hotel was very easy to find. The hotel conveniently located near the the freeway and it was only a few minutes away from the Anaheim Stadium and Disneyland. For me, it was about ten minutes away from where the orientation was going to be at.

When I arrived at the hotel, I parked at the on-site parking and walked inside to the front desk to check in. The receptionist was very pleasant. She was smiling the whole time and was very helpful with all the questions that I had about the hotel. She immediately checked me in and told me that it was going to be taken care of by Mercury Insurance. She gave me the key and a map of the hotel to show me where my room was located at. She also told me that the hotel will be serving Ravioli that night for their evening reception which they have three nights a week. She also told me that there's complimentary breakfast every morning between 6am and 10am. She also told me that they have a grocery shopping service. All that I had to do was give them a list of what I need and they will have it inside my room in a couple of hours. Lastly, she told me that if I have anything valuable that needed to be locked up, they have a safe deposit box right at the front desk.

After I was done checking in, I got inside my car and drove around the parking lot to find my room. The hotel is townhome/apartment style. It's not a typical hotel where everything is inside a building structure. The hotel also has a pool and spa right by the entrance. There's also a barbeque and picnic areas and a laundry on-site. My room was located close to the on-site parking which was another plus. I didn't have to drag all my things.

When I walked inside the room, it was very nice and clean. There was no foul odor inside and the room was very spacious. Here's a list of the amenities included in the hotel room.

The bathroom was very spacious as well. There's a lot of room to walk around the bathroom and there's also a small closet located at the corner of the bathroom where you can hang your clothes. The bathtub and sink were also very clean.
