Although the hotel is pretty far from any residential areas, it is fairly close to several shopping districts only a short ride away. (The joy of Southern California living... everything you could possibly need is only a small distance away.) Plus, San Diego and all its joys is less than an hour by freeway, enabling you to save money on your vacation by staying just outside of the city.
The hotel's website boasts a heated pool, hot tub, fitness room, and room service. Rooms are also suites that are equipped with refrigerators, dishwashers, and even a stove top and oven. Pots, pans, dishes, and even a toaster are included as part of the room. Add in a very friendly hotel staff that is sure to make even the weariest of travelers feel right at home, and this hotel has everything one could possibly need.
This hotel is also perfect for anybody relocating to the area. The Residence Inn name has long been used to classify an extended stay hotel, and this Carlsbad location is no different. The rooms also make for an easy use vacation stay for families with children, as the added kitchen is a definite helper. This kitchen bonus will far pay for itself when you consider the amount of money it takes to feed a family at restaurants while traveling.
The condition of the hotel is excellent, thanks in part to the strict standards Marriott imposes. With the hotel being built only in 1999, there is little room for poor quality at this hotel.
Room rates are reasonable for the area and what you are getting. According to the hotel's website, rates begin at around one hundred and eighteen dollars a night. Considering the use of your own private kitchen within your room, the strict Marriott guidelines, a clean hotel, friendly staff, and the area in which the hotel is located this is a tremendous deal for the amount of money charged.
In all, I give the Residence Inn by Marriott a high recommendation. This is the perfect place to stay for your San Diego or Carlsbad, California vacation.
If you wish to contact the hotel, you can reach them at: (760) 431-9999, 2000 Faraday Ave, Carlsbad, CA 92008. Or, check out their website.
