Hotel Review: Residence Inn in Oceanside, California

When my husband's family from Indiana came to visit California for the first time, we reserved rooms at this hotel, the Residence Inn by Marriott in Oceanside, CA, for all of us to stay. Our house just wasn't big enough plus it was a little farther from San Diego County.

The hotel was very easy to find as well. The location is nice. It's close to many restaurants, fast foods, and even grocery stores. There's also a starbucks just a few blocks away, for those of you, like myself, who are coffee lovers.

The Residence Inn by Marriott in Oceanside, CA is only minutes away from the Oceanside Pier. There you can find variious restaurants like Joe's Crab Shack. Legoland is also just minutes away. The city of San Diego is less than an hour away from this hotel as well, where you can find Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Old Town, and some of San Diego's coves and lagoons.

When we checked in, both the receptionists present that day were very pleasant. They checked us in quickly and gave us a brief information about the hotel. The hotel is brand new and all rooms are equiped with kitchens that has a microwave, refrigerator, and stove-tops. All rooms also come with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and 32 inch plasma televisions. The hotel has a barbeque and picnic area right next to the pool and spa. The hotel also has an exercise area and on-site laundry. They even offer valet laundry service to those who doesn't want to spend the extra time doing their laundry. There's also a complimentary breakfast buffet every morning for those staying at the hotel.

Our stay with this hotel was very pleasant. They had a barbeque night and taco night when we stayed there and the manager of the hotel interacted with the guests which was another plus. The staff were just wonderful and very helpful.
