Hotel Review: Super 8 Motel at Florida City Near Miami, Florida

It was a nice and pleasant stay in Super 8 Motel at Florida City, Florida. During last long weekend I went to Key West with my family and one friend. The location of the Super 8 Motel is really good. Super 8 Motel is at Florida City. Florida City is 25 miles south of Miami and 125 miles east of Key West. Florida City is on the way to Key West from Miami. The hotels at Miami or at Key West are always very expensive especially during long weekend. So it is better do a night halt at Florida City and start at early morning to Key West. US-1 highway which takes you to Key West is a one-lane road and with 45 to 50 miles speed limit. Though the distance is not much from Florida City to Key West, but the travel time will very high. For us it took more than three hours to cover this 125 miles distance. Super 8 Motel at Florida City was my first choice to stay in Florida City.

We booked two rooms with average per night cost of $55. I got this rate by searching on the web through Kayak.com. Super 8 Motel is a two start hotel. We reached at the hotel at night 10 o'clock and received a very good warm welcome by lady receptionist. It took just 5 minutes before she handed over the keys for both of the rooms. They also provided with few booklets about what to see around including Key West. The Super 8 Motel has 24 hours front desk service.

The rooms are well equipped and very clean. Every room has two queen size beds. Super 8 Motel rooms are having TV, microwave oven, small refrigerator, dinning table, coffee maker, hair dryer, direct dial phone and a personal electronic locker. The wooden beds are very good and enough to sleep for two people. The rooms are also having iron with iron stand. They have a common coin laundry where you can do your laundry with coins. If you want they also supply you the coins you need for laundry. The rooms are also equipped with little other furniture like night tables, coffee tables, drawers etc. The rooms are well equipped with appropriate lights. We faced little problem with restroom. The restrooms are very small and not so clean. Once I took the bath the bath tub got filled with water and water was not flowing out any more. I called their service to fix that immediately, but they never appeared that night. Next day they fixed that problem. This incident only gave me little bad experience with this hotel. All rooms are in ground floor only and parking is complimentary. Rooms are air-conditioned. Super 8 Motel has outdoor seasonal swimming pool. Super 8 Motel has wireless Internet access.

Super 8 Motel also offers free continental breakfast, which was really nice. In breakfast they provided lots of different thing and everything was in enough quantity. If something got finished they were very prompt to fill that up quickly. The Super 8 Motel doesn't have its own restaurant, but there are several restaurants available near by. We stayed two days in this Super 8 Motel and we are very pleased on the service they provided. Super 8 Motel doesn't have any room service available. Actually within these two days we never required to call room service at all, because everything inside the room was perfect. Everyday they cleaned the room and changed the bed sheets and covers.

The check-in time is 3:00 PM and check-out time is 11:00 AM. Pets are not allowed in the hotel. The Super 8 Motel is very near to Everglades National Park, which is a very good place to visit. The location of this hotel is very good and all stores and restaurants are very near to this hotel. The address of this hotel is 1202 N KROME AVE, Florida City, FL 33034. I will recommend you this hotel for a short stay and if you want good quality hotel in a little less price. The price is very reasonable.
