Hotels in Atlanta, Georgia: Why You Should Avoid Holiday Inn and Country Suites

Do You Care About Getting a Good Night's Sleep?

Getting a good night's sleep is what everyone wants and hopes for when checking into a hotel. If you are planning on visiting the Atlanta/Tucker area, you may want to reconsider staying at Holiday inn (Tucker) or Country Suites (Tucker).

Holiday Inn is undergoing major construction and most of the top floors are being converted from hotel rooms to suites. The actual available rooms is quite limited and there is a lot of debri in the actual rooms they are renting. The hotel parking lot is being developed as well and it is difficult to find a parking spot especially at night. The continental breakfast at this hotel is not at all apetizing. On my last trip there (about 2 weeks ago), the bed linens were soiled and the heater did not work adequately. This hotel will probably be worth staying at after all the renovations are completed. It certainly is not worth $100 a night! Save your money and find somewhere else to stay!

After my last disaster at Holiday Inn, I decided to stay at Country Suites. They are located right off the highway 285. While that might be convenient for some travelers, it is not convenient for the exhausted guest! You will be able to hear the roar of trucks and cars all night long. Also, during my stay, there were other guests that found it comical to go in and out of their room every 10 minutes while slamming their door behind them. This might not sound so terrible, however, I woke up with severe bags under my eyes! I paid $100 for this??

Why is finding a quiet, comfortable hotel room so difficult? After all, you pay a small fortune to have some place to call home for the night. Weary travelers, keep looking, I'm sure there is something to be found!
