Hotels of Las Vegas- a Visual Journey for All
A Look at Some of the Amazing Motifs Employed by Las Vegas Casinos
New York, New York- Where else in the world can you find sprawling skyscrapers with a roller coaster whipping around them? Only at the New York, New York. The shops lined up in a mall-esque fashion continue the New York motif, having an appearance as if you're walking down the streets of the city. It has it's share of interesting sights, but really, they don't even begin to compare to several of the hotels I'm going to discuss.
The Venetian- If you've ever wanted to go to Italy, you owe it to yourself to check out this interesting hotel. Canals whip through the area, complete with gondolas floating down them (something I haven't experienced myself, but a nice romantic experience for lovers, I'm sure). The shops are decidedly Italian in style, complete with a ceiling painted like the sky, further adding to the illusion that you're actually in Italy.
Caesar's Palace- Chances are you'll feel like you're walking into Caesar's Palace when you begin your journey through here. Large Roman statues wrap around a huge spiral elevator leading deep into the depths of the palace. Come face to face with the gods themselves at each end of the hotel, where huge animatronic statues of Zeus, Neptune, and others come to life in a spectacular light show. Truly a unique experience.
Excalibur- Things continue to get more extravagant. From it's high tech castle-like appearance to the obvious medieval motif inside, a lot of care went into crafting the Excalibur. The creativity is overflowing, with many of the shops having wacky medieval names. Ever wanted to see a jousting match? Ever wanted to see a jousting match while enjoying a nice dinner? You can do so with the dinner and show. Meet the knights up close and personal; they're always happy to talk to people. Definitely one of my personal favorites. But it just can't beat...
The Luxor- You can tell they went all-out with this amazing place. The exterior is different than all the other hotels in Vegas; a huge black pyramid with a giant beacon light blasting out of the top. You'd wonder how they could possibly lay out the rooms in a hotel of such a shape, but they do so quite well, with the rooms spiraling upwards. When you step inside, you're treated to two huge Egyptian statues, carved with great detail. The entire hotel feels like the inside of a pyramid, and I never found myself bored, no matter what area of it I was in. Easily my favorite hotel in Las Vegas.
These are but a few of the many other hotels in Las Vegas, but I find these to be the most interesting visually. Really, reading an article on the internet can't compare with going to Vegas and seeing them for yourself. If you've got some vacation time coming up, why not give Vegas a shot? There's always plenty of gambling to be done if you're really into that sort of thing, but don't deny yourself the visual pleasures that you're sure to enjoy by exploring the amazing hotels.
