Well, we have taken a look at some places to stay now what can we do?
Shopping
Just a few blocks from The Peninsula and The Intercontinental are Nathan Road and the Harbor City Mall. The Harbor City Mall boasts more than 700 boutiques sporting the latest name designers and then continues along the golden mile along Nathan Road where there are more designer stores, optical shops, inviting acupressure foot massage fronts, art galleries, tea-shops, and sparkling jewelry shops.
If you stay at The Peninsula then you will find the very best exclusive shops on site including Baccarat, Tiffany & Co, Cerruti boutiques, Prada, Hermes, Ermeneglido Zegna and Shanghai Tang shops.
Also you may wish to take in the famed 300 shop Times Square on Hong Kong island in Causeway Bay and there is loads of trendy shopping to be done in the Mong Kok area including the 100 shops at the 5 story Trendy Zone mall.
Dining
There is delicious food to be found on every corner but there are few places that shouldn't be missed.
One of these is Pearl on the Peak a restaurant that has floor to ceiling windows giving extraordinary views of the city. This restaurant hails from Australia and serves modern Australian cuisine.
Then there is the Tien Yi, a Chinese restaurant that features a dramatic curved staircase and a 19ft high waterwall. There is also a 3,000 bottle wine cellar.
Yes, these restaurants are on the Peak which is a bit touristy but the views you get are too fantastic and are a perfect complement to the great food served at both restaurants.
You may also wish to try The L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon a French restaurant with a tea room on the lower level. Or the top floor of the Jumbo Boat which is anchored in Aberdeen Harbor and whose top deck has one of the most beautiful terraces in Hong Kong. You will find here Hong Kong seafood at its finest.
Clubbing
Lan Kwai Fong is an atmospheric district of hilly cobbled lanes and plenty of luring lights where people meet to dance and sip cool libations, where expats meet up and office workers gather to let loose. The nights come alive here.
Just steps away from Lan Kwai Fong is a tiny hideaway called the baby Buddha. Here you will find ambient fairy lights, Buddha heads and deep red furnishings. The bar is small and exclusive but is not by invitation only.
Other clubs to consider are the Sevva and the Dragon-I (Naomi Campbell has been spotted here).
However, whatever you choose to do you will find that Hong Kong is awash with spectacular night life.
