Hotels to Stay at While Visiting Victoria, British Columbia
Neighborhood: Victoria
So you are planning on visiting the most beautiful town in British Columbia? Victoria is a fabulous place to visit and is full of tourists all year long. I wanted to take the time to suggest several wonderful hotels in Victoria, British Columbia. Please take a moment to read on, and I will provide links to the hotels' website as well.

The Fairmont Empress
Of course, the infamous hotel to stay at would be the Fairmont Empress, but I will warn you, it is quite expensive. However, I am told that the service is terrific and definitely worth the money. This hotel rests on the banks of Victoria's Inner Harbor, and offers a beautiful view of Victoria at all directions. Each of the 460 guest rooms is unique in design and elegantly-appointed. Guests can take advantage of the indoor swimming pool and spa facilities. In addition, guests are encouraged to enjoy afternoon tea, brunch of dinner in the Bengal Lounge or Empress Room Restaurant. Also, for the ones who enjoy a good ghost story. It is said that one of the sections of the hotel is haunted by a woman. If you take the time to ask a few questions, you just may find out a bit more about this ghost.

Victoria Marriott Inner
This newly constructed Victoria Marriott Inner Harbor opened during April 2004, and offers 236 brilliantly appointed rooms just steps away from the Inner Harbor. Guests at this hotel have the pleasure to enjoy the majestic views such as the Olympic Mountain range, Pacific Ocean and Legislative building. The location is perfect as you can easily take a quick stroll to the Inner Harbor, and experience Victoria's downtown. Also, this hotel offers a spacious fitness room overlooking the terrace, an indoor pool and whirlpool. There is also an excellent restaurant known as Fire and Water, is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I have heard many positive comments about this hotel, their staff, and the rooms.

Hotel Grand Pacific
This grand hotel offers first-class service for its guests. One must also note that this hotel accommodates business meetings, and provides function rooms, banquet, catering, as well for facilities for fitness and entertainment. Grand Pacific has a wife selection of guest rooms, and every room has a personal balcony. This hotel also arranges sightseeing and marine adventure tours, and is close enough to downtown Victoria for the guests to explore on foot. This hotel also provides fine dining at its Pacific Restaurant, which specializes in Pacific Northwest Cuisine. There also is a Pacific Lounge for drinks and light snacks are available at the Courtyard Café.

Laurel Point Inn
This beautiful Inn is located on Inner Harbor, within walking distance of various stores, museums, and entertainment that Victoria's downtown has to offer. There are two restaurants on site, one which is seasonal, and there is a piano lounge, ocean-side patio, Japanese garden, indoor pool, hot tub, and a gift shop. All rooms have balconies, and high-speed Internet access. This hotel also offers 24 hour room service, and free local calls. Many friends who have stayed at this hotel have told me how incredible the rooms are, and how quick room service would arrive after ordering. One friend even said that it seemed that as soon as he hung up the phone, the room service was knocking on the door!
