Hottest New Fall Food Network Shows

It's almost autumn, and for some people that means cooler weather, crisp fall fruit, and back to school activities. However, for foodies and Food Network junkies, it means we're salivating over the new shows premiering on the Food Network.

The winner of The Next Food Network Star, Amy Finley, will star in her new show premiering in October, 2007. Her idea for her show was called "The Gourmet Next Store" although it's not clear if that will be the true title when it debuts. However, it's a sure bet that Amy will teach us how to create "simple, beautiful food" which is her signature cooking style. It will be interesting, because she claims her specialty is Indian cooking, yet she also has a lot of French and Mediterranean influences. We can't wait to see what she serves up!

The Next Iron Chef of America debuts in fall of 2007. Chefs from all around the U.S. will compete in order to stand tall in Iron Chef Stadium next to greats such as Mario Batali, Bobby Flay, and Cat Cora. The format is similar to the usual Iron Chef challenges, although Alton Brown is the one who assembles the competitors and brings them back to kitchen stadium. The Chairman should be in his usual dramatic form as he challenges them to the brink of exhaustion and excellence. It should be a fiery contest and make for some tasty viewing.

Food Dudes is a new reality cooking show that follows two chefs who are partners in a catering business in the highly competitive world of L.A. Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo are the two chefs who take their food seriously and life a little more lightly. It sounds like a fun look into their world and the restaurant and catering business in L.A.

America's Best Recipe lets home cooks enter into the television arena. Cooks all over America submit their heirloom recipes into different categories, such as mac and cheese, chili, etc. Thousands will be tested, but only nine will actually cook their recipes in front of a live audience at the finale in Vegas. The winners will be awarded the prize of America's best recipe.

Food Network has developed some superior food shows since its inception, and this promises to be another exciting year for everyone who loves watching this channel that's solely devoted to food in all forms. Tune in to food network and foodnetwork.com for more information about the exact starting date of each show. Remember, if you miss a show there are always the reruns!
